Compairing relationship balance performance and anxiety in 7-10 children with anxiety and normal

Objective: present study compares relationship between balance performance, anxiety children with anxiety and normal children.

Methods: in this descriptive_ analytic study, 21 children with anxiety and 21 normal children in the range of 7- 10 years old was participated. Balance performance by using Bruininks Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency and anxiety by using Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL) and The Screen For Child Anxiety Related Emotional Disorders Scale (SCARED) were evaluated.

Results: analysis by T_Test and Mann Whitney revealed significant difference between a group and normal group balance performance (p<05).

Conclusion: according to study results there was deference bet win two group in balance performance and anxious children showed poor balance skills. Therefore these findings help Occupational Therapist to determine rehabilitation priorities and to use exact strategies in order to reduce anxiety in children.
