Introduction: The World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT) Human Resources project is a demographic scan of WFOT's Member Organisations and the occupational therapy profession. The last project was undertaken in 2010 and generated a 93% response rate.

Aims: To present the results of the WFOT Human Resources Project 2012 that was undertaken in late 2011 and early 2012.

Method: A questionnaire was circulated by email to the 69 WFOT Member Organisations in September 2011. Each Member Organisation's questionnaire included the responses they had previously supplied in 2009. Responses were returned to WFOT for collation and analysis.

Results: Responses from Member Organisations will be presented and key findings discussed. Results will include the number of practising occupational therapists worldwide, education programmes, recruitment, migration and labour trends.

The outcome of the project will be to present a range of demographic data pertinent to the occupational therapy profession from across the world.
